About ConiFriends

What is ConiFriends?
ConiFriends is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Spokane, WA. We restore native habitats through community-led tree planting and environmental stewardship events.
Where do you operate?

Volunteering

Do I need experience to volunteer?
No experience is necessary! We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds. Our event leads provide on-site instruction for every task. All you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to get a little dirty.
What should I bring to an event?
Most events require sturdy closed-toe shoes and work gloves. A full equipment list is provided on each individual event page. We also recommend sunscreen, layered clothing, and a refillable water bottle.
Can I bring my kids?
Some events are family-friendly while others have a minimum age requirement (usually 18) due to the physical demands of the work. Check the individual event page for age requirements. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian complete the sign-up form with guardian consent.
How do I sign up for an event?
Visit our Events page, find an upcoming event, and click 'Register for This Event'. A sign-up form will open in a new tab. Fill in your details, agree to any required waivers, and submit. You'll hear from us if we need any additional information.
Is there a cost to volunteer?
No — volunteering with ConiFriends is completely free. We provide all tools, plants, and materials. We often have snacks and refreshments too!
What happens if an event is cancelled or I can't make it?
We will notify registered volunteers by email as soon as possible if an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to weather or other circumstances. If you can no longer attend, please let us know at conifriends@gmail.com so we can plan accordingly.
Can organisations or groups attend events?
Absolutely! We love hosting corporate volunteer days, school groups, and community organisations. Reach out to us at conifriends@gmail.com to discuss group participation.
